Who can use our services?
The services are available to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students, as well as all other members of the university community.
The services are provided free of charge.
Who are the members of the team?
The Psychological and Counseling Support Centers are staffed by psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers
How Are Its Activities Coordinated?
KEPSYSY activities are overseen by its Scientific Committee (SC), established by Senate decision at Democritus University of Thrace. The SC consists of five faculty members specializing in psychiatry, psychology, and social work. It is led by a faculty member with relevant expertise, who holds scientific responsibility for the operation of KEPSYSY
What kind of services does KEPSYSY provide?
KEPSYSY provides psychological support and counseling services both in person and via digital platforms.
Specifically, it offers:
- Individual and group counseling
- Seminars and workshops with interactive and experiential elements
- Preventive and awareness-raising initiatives related to mental health
- Encouragement and participation in social integration activities and volunteer initiatives

Are There Specific Eligibility Criteria?
There are no specific eligibility criteria for accessing KEPSYSY services
How Can I Schedule an Appointment at KEPSYSY?
You can contact the call center by phone or send an online request via email at kepsysy@duth.gr. Following a brief phone consultation with a KEPSYSY staff member, you will receive a call to confirm your appointment.
Alternatively, you can always visit our center to meet us in person at the working hours.
How Can I Register for KEPSYSY Activities?
You can register by calling the center’s phone number or sending an email request.
How Can I Join the KEPSYSY Volunteer Team?
By using all the communication types described above (by telephone, e- mail, sending a message at our facebook). Additionally, you can complete the volunteer application form and participate in training sessions, educatory activities, seminars, workshops, talks, designed specifically for volunteers.
What about confidentiality?
Personal data that KEPSYSY collects and processes are only the necessary ones, in order for the goal of the service to be fulfilled and in terms of the specific legal context.
KEPSYSY processes the data they receive from the applicants after they fill an application form. This consists the following data:
- ID Information
- Contact Information
- Health Information
If permission is required, KEPSYSY follows all the legal procedures in order to certify it.
Personal data are collected according to the General Code for Personal Data and the existing national legislation, either in the beginning of your cooperation with KEPSYSY or during the cooperation, and can be processed under legal conditions:
- Your consent, when you apply for KEPSYSY services
- The fulfillment of duties carried out in the public interest, as well as the lawful processing of data for archiving purposes related to public interest, scientific research, or statistical purposes.
